Paul Smith drafts or provides due diligence reviews of buy-sell agreements, construction contracts, titles, and closing documents. He facilitates land acquisitions, 1031 exchanges and conveyances, as well as lender and regulatory environmental compliance.
Other areas of his real estate law practice include construction defect and other real estate litigation, tenant-landlord dispute resolution, and real estate development or redevelopment assistance.
Paul Smith has practiced law since 1984 when he was admitted to the Connecticut Bar Association and the Federal Bar Association. He is a member of the Windham County Bar Association and the Plainfield Rotary Club. A lifelong resident of Windham County, he is active in local government and civic organizations.
He received a Juris Doctor degree from the George Mason University School of Law and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Connecticut.
